Use for years Galli strings in both steel and nickel and I always find exceptional. I have a beautiful tone and have a truly remarkable longevity. I always preferred scaling 0.40-100 for the 4 string bass and 0.40-120 for 5 because I prefer the more defined sound but also 0.45-105 while being more "big" have an exceptional definition. Thanks to Tommaso Galli i had the opportunity to experience the "Black Nylon" I did not know and I have to say I was surprised because usually you think (or at least I thought so) that the strings in Nylon are very soft and dark, instead Black Nylon, having the steel core, are very defined without losing the softness of nylon ... really a beautiful discovery!!
Biography
Born in Alatri (Frosinone) on 26.01.1990 and started playing electric bass at age 10, initially as a self-taught then in 2003 he began his study of the instrument with Maestro Giampiero Merluzzi with whom he studied until 2009; the same Merluzzi advised him to begin studying double bass; Initially he studied with Maestro Stefano Cantarano then make admission to the Conservatory Of Music Licinio Refice of Frosinone to attend the classic bass course under the guidance of Maestro Luca Cola.
After a year of the conservatory he joined the Young Orchestra of the Roma Opera theater with whom he performed in the same theater and in various Italian theaters.
In the summer of 2008 in collaboration with Chateaubriand realize a disc. It was for many years bassist for Tartini Orchestra direct by Maestro Antonio Cipriani with whom he has collaborated regularly with Maestro Luis Bacalov (Oscar Award for the soundtrack of 'The Postman'' Massimo Troisi).
